Tridoshic Morning Flow

Not sure of your dosha? This balanced morning flow is designed to harmonise all three doshas simultaneously. Drawing on the Hatha Yoga Pradipika's emphasis on balance, this sequence combines grounding elements (for Vata), cooling postures (for Pitta), and dynamic movements (for Kapha) into a single, accessible practice. It is the ideal starting point for anyone new to dosha-based yoga, and serves as a reliable daily practice for those with dual-dosha or tridoshic constitutions.

Best time: Morning (6-7:30 AM)

Benefits

  • Balances all three doshas simultaneously
  • Accessible to complete beginners with no yoga experience
  • Short enough for a daily morning routine
  • Builds foundational strength, flexibility, and body awareness
  • Prepares the body and mind for the day ahead
  • Can be practised year-round regardless of season or constitution

Vaidya's Practice Tips

  • This is your go-to daily practice when you are unsure which dosha needs attention
  • Modify the pace: slower for Vata days, moderate for Pitta, brisker for Kapha
  • Practice at the same time every day to build a sustainable habit
  • Follow with 5 minutes of pranayama (any technique) for a complete morning practice
  • Listen to your body — skip any pose that does not feel right on a given day
